The town is divided into the cadastral communities of Oberlanzendorf and Unterlanzendorf. <\/p>\n<p>The banks of the Schwechat with the Lanzendorfer Au are a popular recreational area. There is also an insect nature trail in the municipality, which explains the importance of small animals for biodiversity and agriculture. <\/p>\n<p>The municipality&#8217;s sights include a former mill from the 16th century, which is located in Unterlanzendorf. The Petersbach flows into the Schwechat in the municipal area, and the Wiener Neust\u00e4dter Kanal also runs through the village. <\/p>\n<p>Maria Lanzendorf is famous for the parish and pilgrimage church of the Sorrowful Mother of God. It was first mentioned in a document in 1145 as &#8220;Kirche Maria auf der Heyd&#8221;. The Calvary, an artificial hill, was built more than 500 years later.  <\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Weg der Ziegelbarone&#8221;, a popular cycle path in the south-east of Vienna, leads directly through Maria Lanzendorf.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;60px&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row gap=&#8221;25&#8243;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Zw\u00f6lfaxing<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]With an area of 6.76 square kilometers, Zw\u00f6lfaxing is the largest municipality in KLAR! Lanzendorf+. The Kalter Gang, Schwechat and Mitterbach rivers flow through the village.  <\/p>\n<p>Completed in 2022, the flood protection along the Schwechat not only protects the town from flooding, but is also a popular local recreation area. The cycle path along the stream is popular: It is part of the Triestingau cycle path, which leads from the Vienna city limits to Sch\u00f6nau an der Triesing. <\/p>\n<p>Zw\u00f6lfaxing is also known for the Burstyn barracks, which used to be home to a tank battalion.
