The municipality of Lanzendorf<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]The municipality of Lanzendorf borders directly on Schwechat and covers an area of 4.54 square kilometers. The town is divided into the cadastral communities of Oberlanzendorf and Unterlanzendorf. <\/p>\n

The banks of the Schwechat with the Lanzendorfer Au are a popular recreational area. There is also an insect nature trail in the municipality, which explains the importance of small animals for biodiversity and agriculture. <\/p>\n

The municipality’s sights include a former mill from the 16th century, which is located in Unterlanzendorf. Maria Lanzendorf<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]The 169-hectare Maria Lanzendorf borders directly on Lanzendorf. The Petersbach flows into the Schwechat in the municipal area, and the Wiener Neust\u00e4dter Kanal also runs through the village. <\/p>\n

Maria Lanzendorf is famous for the parish and pilgrimage church of the Sorrowful Mother of God. It was first mentioned in a document in 1145 as “Kirche Maria auf der Heyd”. The Calvary, an artificial hill, was built more than 500 years later. <\/p>\n

The “Weg der Ziegelbarone”, a popular cycle path in the south-east of Vienna, leads directly through Maria Lanzendorf.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”60px”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row gap=”25″][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Zw\u00f6lfaxing<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]With an area of 6.76 square kilometers, Zw\u00f6lfaxing is the largest municipality in KLAR! Lanzendorf+. The Kalter Gang, Schwechat and Mitterbach rivers flow through the village. <\/p>\n

Completed in 2022, the flood protection along the Schwechat not only protects the town from flooding, but is also a popular local recreation area. The cycle path along the stream is popular: It is part of the Triestingau cycle path, which leads from the Vienna city limits to Sch\u00f6nau an der Triesing. <\/p>\n

Zw\u00f6lfaxing is also known for the Burstyn barracks, which used to be home to a tank battalion.
