They provide a habitat for insects, promote the pollination of crops and improve the soil, water and microclimate. In Lower Austria, at least 10% of municipal land should be used to preserve biodiversity by 2030.  <\/p>\n<p>Our KEM municipalities are already setting an example here and have already dedicated some municipal areas as flowering areas for insects. And it&#8217;s having an effect! The flower meadows of Carnuntum are humming and buzzing!
