KEM Cycle Tour 2025 – Cycling through the entire region<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year’s KEM Bike Tour<\/strong> took place on September 19, 2025<\/strong> as part of European Mobility Week<\/strong>. The aim of the event was to promote cycling as a sustainable means of transport<\/strong> and to show that commuting between the municipalities<\/strong> of the KEM is not only possible, but can also be fun. At the same time, the KEM’s<\/strong> numerous energy projects<\/strong> were brought into focus. <\/p>\n

The tour started at Heidentor<\/strong> and first led to the official starting point at SV Hundsheim<\/strong>, where participants were able to view the 39 kWp photovoltaic system<\/strong>. From there, the tour continued along picturesque country lanes lined with wind turbines to Petronell<\/strong>. Here, the impressive 110 kWp PV system of the Roman city of Carnuntum<\/strong> and the photovoltaic system of the volunteer fire department<\/strong> were on the program. <\/p>\n

The final stop was the Scharndorf fire brigade<\/strong>, which also has a PV system together with a storage system and an air heat pump<\/strong>. Over a light snack, the participants then had the opportunity to discuss energy issues<\/strong> and find out more about sustainable energy supply in the region. <\/p>\n

The KEM cycle tour impressively demonstrated how mobility, environmental protection and renewable energies<\/strong> can go hand in hand and motivated the participants to become active themselves.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
