Both in Bruck/Leitha and in Arbesthal, an information evening was held in October on the subject of the energy community. Together with the respective mayors Gerhard Weil and Franz Glock, KEM Manager Philip Loitsch and an employee of wir sind solar hosted the evening.
After a general section on the question of what energy communities actually are and what advantages they offer, a detailed presentation on neoom’s energy community model followed. Neoom establishes a regional energy community at each substation from 10 interested parties. This saves the participants from having to set up an association and the time-consuming bureaucracy. They only pay a small service fee, but can enjoy all the benefits of the energy community without any stress:
- Regional added value: joint production and consumption of renewable electricity from the region
- Economic efficiency: better tariffs for feeders and more favorable conditions for consumers, as well as 28% savings on grid costs
- And not to be neglected: an active contribution to the energy transition.
The site inspection confirmed that visitors also like this concept and there have already been some pre-registrations for the energy communities.
