In a KLAR!, a climate change adaptation model region, the aim is to develop measures and plan them together with the population in order to defy climate change. Here, projects for more greenery in the localities, soil unsealing and creation of shaded areas are to be implemented. Because, especially in eastern Austria, the signs of climate change have already been noticeable for several years.

By managing two KLAR! regions under the umbrella of the Energy Park, we want to support communities in our region to prepare for climate change and implement adaptation measures.

The CLEAR! On the Leithaberge includes the villages Au am Leithaberge, Götzendorf an der Leitha, Hof am Leithaberge, Mannersdorf am Leitagebirge and Trautmannsdorf an der Leitha. It is supervised by Julia Jüly, who brings her many years of extensive experience as an energy consultant to the energy park. The big goal is to maintain the quality of life for the population. Good climate change adaptation measures are also an active contribution to climate protection with co-benefits for the population. “Committed, courageous, full of drive – let’s go”. Under this motto, ideas in the KLAR! Am Leithaberge to be tackled.

In the CLEAR! Lanzendorf+ Sonja Wirgler is responsible for the three municipalities of Lanzendorf, Maria Lanzendorf and Zwölfaxing. Aware that climate change does not stop at the municipal borders, the actors are aware that cooperation creates added value and are therefore clearly committed to implementing adaptation measures together. “Small area, big effect” is the motto of the KLAR! region. Surrounded by large municipalities such as Vienna and Schwechat, KLAR! Lanzendorf + develop positive radiance to the outside.
