YES! – especially for the environment!
An analysis by the Vienna Repair Network shows that if the repair rate in Austria were to increase by just 25%, over 10,500 tons of electronic waste could be avoided – equivalent to the empty weight of 258 medium-haul aircraft.
The Repair Network in Vienna is an initiative of the City of Vienna that lists repair businesses and promotes repairs of all kinds. The repair network’s partner businesses have successfully carried out around 137,500 repairs, saving 1,680 tons of material from being thrown away.
