This year, the Roman city achieved great things, just like the Romans once did. With the construction of the 110kWp photovoltaic system together with a 300kWh storage system on the roof of the cultural site, the Roman city is taking an important and significant step towards a renewable future in order to continue to preserve the venerable heritage from the past for future generations. Thanks to its generous surface area, the PV system is not only one of the largest in the region, but can also cover a large proportion of the energy required thanks to the large-scale storage system, while at the same time reducing energy consumption by switching to LED lighting. It is of course an advantage that the main season for cultural activities takes place in summer, when the sun is at its strongest. Such an investment makes double sense! Thanks to this project, the Römerstadt is one of the region’s flagship businesses! On 12.12.2024, the project was completed by attaching the construction plaque of the funding body, in the presence of Managing Director Dr. Markus Wachter, the former KEM Manager Philip Loitsch, who accompanied the project, and the new KEM Manager Tina Rigler. We are proud to have been part of this project!
