Pioneers of renewable energy
The three municipalities were the pioneers and trailblazers in Römerland-Carnuntum, which began to take steps towards energy independence based on renewables back in the 1990s. All three municipalities have a large number of different renewable energy plants, and are also linked by a high proportion of agriculture (winegrowers) and the Arbesthal hills.
