KLAR!Treff No. 3: Using water efficiently
An important focus of KLAR! Am Leithaberge, in addition to green spaces, is the water balance and water retention. The water cycle in the municipalities is to be surveyed and possible courses of action for water retention and efficient, economical water use are to be identified. An information event was held in May to inform citizens about ways to use water efficiently.
The KLAR! Am Leithaberge hosted an information event on the efficient use of water at the Kulturwerkstätte Hof. At the event, participants were given a presentation by Gabriel Lang from the Energy and Environment Agency on climate change and the climatic challenges facing water as a resource. After this introduction, information was provided on ways to use water efficiently in the home and garden. Water use in the garden was also addressed in the presentation by Mr. Leopold Mayrhofer from Natur im Garten, supplemented with information on climate-friendly plants at all levels. A cistern manufacturer was also invited to present rainwater utilization in order to provide neutral information on the one hand and to tackle concrete implementations on the other. The KLAR! Am Leithaberge has organized a campaign to collectively order rainwater tanks for the municipalities of KLAR! Am Leithaberge has organized. This campaign is valid for one month, starting in mid-June.
