Hedge day in the Wüste Nature Park – successful planting campaign for local gardens
On November 9, 2024, the annual Hedge Day took place in the Desert Nature Park, where the local population had the opportunity to purchase a variety of native shrubs and woody plants. The plants could be pre-ordered in advance and will ensure more biodiversity in local gardens in the future. A total of 135 orders were processed, an impressive number that underlines the great interest in regional plants. The distribution of the plants was supported by many helping hands – from the dedicated nature park team, the municipality of Mannersdorf, the RGV Association for Regional Wood Propagation and KLAR!
On the Leithaberge. Thanks to this collaboration, numerous shrubs and trees have found a new home in the region’s gardens, helping to preserve regional plant varieties.
