The Austrian Supreme Court (OGH) has ruled that the charging of grid access fees by grid operators was inadmissible in many cases. If you own a generation system 20kW for which the grid operator has charged this flat rate without any direct expenses having been incurred (e.g. due to structural measures), you are entitled to a refund. The Austrian grid operators accept the ruling and are preparing automatic repayments to the customers concerned. Cases that are already time-barred will also be reimbursed on a goodwill basis. It is not necessary for customers to make contact.
