From babies to interested grandparents, many accepted the invitation from KLAR! Lanzendorf+ to the family party at the Kulturhaus Bruckner on March 22, 2024. The event kicked off with great music from the Südheide music school. “If you prefer to stay at home in summer when it’s 35 degrees outside rather than go to the playground or keep the sun out indoors with roller shutters, you are adapting to climate change,” explained KLAR! manager Sonja Wirgler explained to the children in the audience what climate change adaptation means. A poster exhibition showed the creative ideas the pupils from Zwölfaxing and Lanzendorf elementary school had on this topic. There was a large crowd at the craft station with Craftort Lanzendorf, where real works of art were created from leftovers. At another station, pupils from IMS Lanzendorf presented the climate suitcase. The suitcase provided by KLAR! Lanzendorf+ illustrates the effects of climate change and enables groups to work out together what they can do themselves. Nathalie Horvath from Energiepark Bruck/Leitha also provided exciting information, bringing along excerpts from the Young Climate Workshop.
