The “Boiler replacement” 2025/2026 funding campaign supports the replacement of fossil fuel heating systems in single-family homes. Funding is provided for switching from oil and gas heating systems to climate-friendly heating systems such as heat pumps, biomass heating or district heating.
The maximum funding amount is 30% of the total costs. The maximum subsidy amount depends on the heating system:
Local/district heating: max. 6,500 euros
Wood-fired central heating (pellets/wood chips/lumpy goods)*: max. 8,500 euros
Heat pump (air-water, water-water, brine-water)*: max. 7,500 euros
*only if no local/district heating connection is possible!
Procedure:
Energy advice on the subject of boiler replacement in order to select the best possible heating system for you (protocol is a prerequisite for online registration). Online registration of the project. Application after project completion (installation and billing completed), at the latest 9 months after registration. Last possible registration: 31.12.2026
