The time is ripe for the future! “Many small people, in many small places, doing many small things, will change the face of this world.” African proverb of the Xhosa (South Africa, Botswana and Lesotho)
Bruck an der Leitha
The picturesque district capital of Bruck an der Leitha lies between extensive vineyards and the forests and hills of the Leitha Mountains. The favorable geographical location – close to Vienna and just a stone’s throw from Lake Neusiedl – and the mild Pannonian climate of the area make Bruck an der Leitha the ideal location for those seeking relaxation, cultural tourists, sports enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Bruck an der Leitha is the capital of the district of the same name and accordingly has various important supply functions. For example, Bruck is an important school and shopping town as well as the headquarters of the public administration (district administration, district court, etc.).
The traffic connection is primarily via the east highway (A4) and the east railroad (S60), which both touch Bruck on their course (Vienna – Hungary). In addition, the northeast highway (A6) provides a high-ranking connection to the Slovakia/Bratislava region.
Göttlesbrunn-Arbesthal
The municipality of Göttlesbrunn-Arbesthal is located northwest of Bruck an der Leitha, on the edge of the Arbesthaler Hügelland. Similar to Höflein, there is also viticulture here, and the special natural landscape is also worthy of mention. There are several cycle routes and hiking trails between the vines, forests, meadows and fields. The Arbesthaler Hügelland is part of the Alpine-Carpathian corridor, an important wildlife hiking route. There is a direct high-ranking road connection to Vienna, Bratislava/Slovakia and Hungary via the nearby highway junction – Bruck an der Leitha West (A4/A6).
Höflein
Höflein is a rural community, which is primarily known for its winegrowing. There are several cellar lanes and press houses in the village. Excursion and recreational tourism is also important here. The municipality lies on the edge of the Arbesthaler Hügelland and offers its visitors numerous hiking and themed trails as well as cycle routes. Due to its immediate location north of Bruck an der Leitha, there is a nearby connection to the high-ranking road network.
