E-mobility is booming:
Göttlesbrunn-Arbesthal is district champion

E-cars are becoming increasingly popular among new registrations: in 2021, over 8,450 new e-cars were registered across Lower Austria, twice as many as in the previous year. There are considerable differences at municipal level. The KEM Energie³ municipality of Göttlesbrunn-Arbesthal is currently celebrating the fact that a particularly high number of e-cars have been registered here. Specifically, over 30%, which means that every third newly purchased car is an e-car. On August 25, 2022, the municipality was awarded the title of district champion of Bruck/Leitha by the state of Lower Austria. Mayor Franz Glock is particularly pleased, as this is no coincidence. Rather, the large number of photovoltaic (PV) systems on the roofs of houses makes it particularly attractive for businesses and private individuals to use solar power. Over 100 PV systems have already been installed in Göttlesbrunn and Arbesthal in recent years. The subsidies for e-vehicles at state and federal level as well as tax breaks have been excellent and have therefore fallen on fertile ground in Göttlesbrunn-Arbesthal. It is to be expected that the share of e-cars in new registrations will continue to rise sharply in the coming years. The Climate and Energy Model Region (KEM) Energie³, specifically DI Irene Schrenk, will be happy to provide advice on e-car subsidies or PV subsidies at any time.
