In April, the KEM once again hosted PV consultation hours, sending a strong signal for the further expansion of renewable energies in the region. KEM manager Tina Rigler and energy consultant Johannes Selinger were on hand to advise citizens in the municipalities of Petronell-Carnuntum, Hundsheim and Scharndorf.
Around 20 interested people took the opportunity to obtain individual information on topics such as photovoltaic systems, electricity storage and current funding opportunities. The low-threshold concept without registration, according to the “first come, first serve” principle, enabled uncomplicated access and was very well received. In Hundsheim, the consultation hour was also used to provide information about energy communities. Expert Heiko Hill, operator of the EEG at the Bad Deutsch-Altenburg substation, was invited for this purpose.
The positive response clearly shows how great the interest in sustainable energy solutions is. With formats such as the PV consultation hour, KEM makes an important contribution to the energy transition at regional level and supports the population in taking concrete steps towards renewable energy.
