E-Salon Energiewende Bad Deutsch-Altenburg

Exciting theme evening in the Kursalon Bad Deutsch-Altenburg

On March 12, 2026, another themed evening was held on the subject of “Hainburg 84 – time changer and future maker”. Moderated by Karin Neckam and Doris Holler-Bruckner from powerful people and oekonews, the guests were first presented with an exciting exhibition of pictures with impressions of the occupation of the Haiburger Au, accompanied by lively stories and anecdotes from back then by Paul Pagacs and Günter Schobesberger. This was followed by a discussion round in salon format. First, guests Markus Keprt (Deputy Mayor of Bad Deutsch-Altenburg), Heiko Hill (operator of Hill EEG) and Tina Rigler (Manager of KEM Carnuntum) reported on initiatives from the region for the energy transition. Doris Holler-Bruckner also surprised the audience with an unusual travelogue: she drove from Vienna to Dakhar, Senegal, in an electric car to show that electric mobility has long been suitable for everyday use and that even long distances are no longer an obstacle.

Afterwards, the audience was also invited to get actively involved. A lively discussion ensued about the role of municipalities and individuals in the energy transition, wind power, e-mobility and the opportunities and challenges of energy communities.

The event once again demonstrated the importance of exchange and dialog on the topic of the energy transition. True to the motto “Talking brings people together”, it became clear that there is a broad interest in sustainable future topics – especially when people are offered a platform to inform themselves, have their say and network.
