Generating electricity locally and regionally and selling it in the neighborhood – that is the idea behind the term renewable energy community. The overarching aim is to relieve the burden on supra-regional electricity grids. To this end, there are a number of tax concessions so that participation in renewable energy communities also leads to savings in energy costs. The first energy community of KEM Energie³ is EEG Höflein. All residents of the municipality of Höflein can take part. EEG was founded in December 2022 by the municipality with the support of EZN. The EEG is particularly interesting for owners of photovoltaic systems who want to sell their surplus electricity in the village and contribute to keeping the added value in the village. Further information is available from Ms. Irene Schenk from KEM Energie³ or at the municipal office in Höflein. Further energy communities in Bruck/Leitha are being planned. One example: a house builder wants to make his electricity available to his parents and other relatives who live in the immediate vicinity. How does this work? We will be happy to provide you with information and offer you cost-effective solutions for part of your electricity requirements using EEG. If you are interested, please contact KEM Energie³, Mr. Philip Loitsch. We also support small EEGs in setting up. Further information on EEGs:
