KEM Energy³ Manager Irene Schrenk, in collaboration with Gerti Taferner from Römerland Carnuntum Jugend and supported by Mayor Gerhard Weil, hosted a special kick-off event. The “Kraftwerk Baum” youth project shows how important trees are for us, for nature and for the climate. Around 25 young people accepted the invitation and attended the kick-off event on May 5, 2023. Helmut Lehner, landscape planner and architect, led the group of interested young people through the Harrachpark in Bruck an der Leitha and told them interesting facts about individual outstanding, particularly beautiful and old trees. In his role as a tree inspector, he used his in-depth specialist knowledge to provide insights into many details and exciting tips. He showed what a tree does and how important trees and forests are for a good climate.
The creative contributions of all young people are now required. They should show how important trees are in the lives of young people. The pictures and posters will be presented on June 2 at the Haus Römerland Carnuntum. The supporting program starts at 16:45. We are looking forward to many creative works by young people from the Römerland Carnuntum on the theme KRAFTWERK BAUM and a wonderful exhibition.
