Always looking towards a sustainable future
Where the journey is going
No more dependence on expensive oil imports, no more fear of gas crises – instead, clean energy generation from sun, wind, water and bioenergy from the region. In order to gradually implement the vision of 100% away from fossil fuels, KEM-Carnuntum is implementing projects in the following areas.
- Renewable energy
- Reduction in energy consumption
- Sustainable building
- Mobility
- Agriculture
- Awareness
The focus is, of course, on the interests of just over 3,000 local residents, who can benefit from events, consultations and bundled information packages on a wide range of topics. The market town of Petronell-Carnuntum acts as a coordinating body for the Climate and Energy Fund, which publicly supports this project. The three municipalities of KEM-Carnuntum are part of the district of Bruck/Leitha and the superordinate LEADER region Römerland Carnuntum.
